Andy Scorer, who has lived in Camelsdale since 2013, decided to get fit in 2019 with a couple of friends. The challenge was to run 1000 miles in the year at a time when he struggled to run 5k. As he explored the local trials up at Blackdown he became inspired to setup a social trail running club with drinks afterwards at The Mill.
The first run happened late 2019 and the members/friends slowly grew. COVID then happened and when we were allowed outside we setup virtual challenges, including raising money for our local state schools to buy sports equipment and provide an outlet for our local community to escape into the trails and chat to others.
Charity Work
One of our priorities as a community club is to help raise money for the local community. So far we have raised over £3000 for our local Haslemere state schools, Lynchmere Society, and other personal charities that our members have asked us to donate to. What will 2023 bring?
We will do our best to get back to you as soon as possible.
